The Bishops express their gratitude to the Lord and to the Holy Father while extending a warm welcome to the new Papal Representative on Canadian soil. The Bishops acknowledge that this important mission constitutes a privileged channel that expresses the ecclesial and affective bond with Pope Francis himself. The Episcopal Conference, through its members, welcomes this much waited appointment and is eager to get to know him personally.

Archbishop Jurkovič’s ecclesial, pastoral and diplomatic journey is extensive and diverse and will serve him admirably in the exercise of his ministry in Canada.
