April 2023 marked the release of Generation Laudato Si, sharing the thoughts, wisdom, dreams, and aspirations of a young generation steeped in the encyclical of Pope Francis urging Care for Our Common Home.
The Emmaus Centre has customized copies of Generation Laudato Si featuring an introduction by Bishop Wayne Kirkpatrick. Read a sample chapter here.
These books are available free of charge to interested youth in our diocese and those wishing to engage in living Laudato Si in their parishes and communities.

Mass For Shut-Ins honoured the last taping for its 60th season by planting a tree at St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish, Sydney.
May 21: Build YourOwn Birdhouse
Children and families were invited to recycle drink bottles into birdhouses and birdfeeder in a crafting event at the North Sydney Food Bank

Jennifer hails from Mangalore, India. In the past year, she worked as a Communications Specialist with My Choices Foundation and other non-profits in India. She enjoys designing and creative storytelling and is set to pursue marketing communication. She holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication from Xavier Institute of Management (XIM) University, Bhubaneswar and is currently pursuing Business Management at Cape Breton University. The Letter: A Message for our Earth
is a 2022 documentary film presented by YouTube Originals, telling the story of the Laudato Si encyclical by Pope Francis. This film tells the story about the Pope’s call to care for our planet. In 2015, Pope Francis wrote Laudato Si,’ a letter to the world confronting the environmental crisis to every single person in the world.
